[edit] History

ActionCube was initially started in July 2004 by a few members of the Cube community, the first version was released in November 2006. The idea was to create a whole new game using the Cube engine. Cube's simplicity as well as its movement style were kept while changing the environment and gameplay to a unique style.

[edit] Gameplay

The game was designed to be fast paced. That's why the weapon setting was tweaked to allow fast and aggressive fights. Measuring the players walking speed, ActionCube is slower than Quake and Cube but faster than Counter-Strike. The game is all about team-oriented fights, there are two teams one can join: Cubers Liberations Army and Rabid Viper Special Forces.
