[edit] Jio Freed

The protagonist of this story, Jio is a young boy who trusts only himself and money. His dream is world domination. His O-Part is a boomerang called Zero (C rank) which is later upgraded by Kirin to Shin Zero (B rank) Zeros original effect was "Double" (double the power), but Shin Zeros effect is "Triple" (triple the power). After the time-skip his weapon is updated to Zero R, another boomerang type weapon that reacts to the amount of hatred in one's heart and changes shape accordingly. His true identity is the container of the true devil - the No. 1 Demon - Lucifer, also called "Satan" by humans. After meeting his alter ego Satan, he made a pact with Satan. He gained Satan's power, and the Devil's Mark appears on the palm of his left hand reading the number "666". The Devil's Mark can be used as O-Part and its effect is Absorb (Absorbing Spirit). However, the with the increasing amount of spirit he absorbs, Satan would grow stronger inside, and eventually become dominant over Jio's spirit. At the end of the Olympia tournament, after facing Cross, Ruby's jade pendant is sealed into his right palm. During the time-skip, he became a village leader for the Cyclops. He resigns after his meeting with Ball, and in post time-skip, he is fighting against the Stea government along with the rest of the crew.

[edit] Ruby Crescent

A young, happy, treasure hunting girl who is researching the mysterious, legendary O-Part. She carries an extensive knowledge of ancient languages. Her other objective is to uncover the mystery of her father's death. She carries a necklace(Jade Pendent) her father gave her, which is revealed to be a S Rank O-Part with over 100 effects. She is always worried about Jio and Ball when they are fighting against other OPTs. Ruby shares a strong friendship bond with the two, but seems to have more intimate feelings for Jio. She is later revealed to be the No. 10 Angel, Sandalphon and her "father" is actually a traitor to the Stea government and is not really her father, just a man who was taking care of her until she awakened as the No. 10 angel. Her soul is absorbed in the Olympia chapters when Satan is fighting Cross and gets a fatal wound. Post-timeskip Jio and his friends fight their way into Stea mainbase and Jio is able to reverse the absorption effect and restore Ruby's soul to her body. She can now use her Angel powers, though they aren't complete as of the latest chapter.

A strange kid with dreadlocks who joins up with Ruby and Jio after the events in Entotsu City, where he lived with his parents and younger sister. At first, Ball loved to pretend to be an OPT and loved to show off. He was greatly surprised when Kirin revealed to him that he was indeed a true OPT. He then received his O-Part, called Cool Ball (C rank), and its effect is Magnet (Magnetism). Post time-skip, he wields a new O-part, called Tricky (B rank), which are smaller versions of Cool Ball that seem to resemble marbles.

Former commander of the Stea Republic SS Rank O-Part ship Shin (God). Cross lived alone with his younger sister, Lily, after their parents left when they were younger. The two went to church often to pray for their parents' return. One day, Jio came to the village where Cross lived. The Satan inside Jio found Cross as a good material to be evil, so he erased the existence of the village including Lily, but kept Cross alive. Cross witnessed Satan so he knew it was Satan who killed Lily. He was taken by the Stea Republic onto Shin and soon found out he was an O.P.T. He is an extremely powerful O.P.T., and so became the commander of Shin. His O-Part is Justice (C rank) which consists of five rings. Later, he reveals his true identity as the No. 1 Angel - Metatron. He is currently travelling with Jio, post time-skip.

A white-haired, pickle-loving hermit who lived on the outskirts of Entotsu City, famed for his knowledge about O-Parts (and repairing them) and his genius as a swordsman. His brother claimed that no one has ever been able to wound him in battle. Despite his genius, he is not an OPT. A former Stea officer, he is now usually accompanied by his dog Jajamaru. After Jio, Ruby, and Ball departed from Entotsu City, Kirin decided to travel along with the three. Kirin has been revealed to be the son of a Cyclops father and an OPT mother, and is in fact the son of the younger brother of Mei's grandfather (see chapters 27, 55). Kirin, unlike is younger brother Kujaku, has the Cyclops third eye on his forehead and is able to use it ^[1]. His weapon is a katana. It is widely believed by fans that he, like Arucado spirit is half human and half Cyclops or that he is in fact Arycado spirit in a new form due to his extensive knowledge about O-Parts.

[edit] Amidaba

Nicknamed "Seven-Colored" Amidaba, former Stea Republic Army Officer. She is a skilled O.P.T. and friend of Jack and Kirin. She meets Ruby in the dungeons of Entotsu City, and aids their escape. She also helps out in the fight against Mekisis and Wise Yuri. After the fight, she tells them to go to the Ruins of Dust Storm and meet with a man called Wick. Currently travelling with Jio post time-skip. She appears to have O-parts embedded into her hands, but is capable of using many O-Parts.

A lone wolf who has been banished by other wolves because of his special power. He taught Jio all he could of fighting and survival skills. He hates both humans and wolves, but built up a friendship with Jio as he shares a similar situation - he is shunned by others of his species. His bones are C Rank O-Parts, and their Effect is Haste, but use of them causes extreme pain to Zero. In post time-skip, he travels with Jio.

Member of the Cyclops, the original inhabitants of the O-Parts Hunter Planet. During the time-skip, and a few chapters time-skip, she had a huge crush on Jio, and saw girls Jio talks to as an adversary. As a little extra, she actually considered Cross to be a rival as well. She acknowledged that the matured Cross is beautiful, female almost. Surprisingly, she and Ruby become fast friends, despite Mei feeling envious of her beauty and Jio's feelings toward her. She apparently met Jio during the time-skip when Jio was nursed back to health by her village. She joins the party with Jio (by sneaking in) after the time-skip, and is now travelling with the party. Mei's older brother Tsubame, the former chief of the Cyclops village, disappeared around the time Jio entered the Cyclops village. After Ball fights with the changed Tsubame, Mei realizes that she used Jio as a replacement for her lost brother, and now shows affections for Ball.

Miko is the President of Stea Republic. She has stored her memory in the O-Part and flying ship Shin, and destroyed her body. Her dream is for a world where she has total control and lives forever.

[edit] Dofuwa Longess

A blind man, Dofuwa appears to be the highest-ranked and most trusted of Miko's advisors. He was sent by Miko to stop Kirin and Amidaba, but was killed by Kirin.

[edit] Mishima Kagesuge

Mishima is the commander of Stea's operations at the North Pole (mostly research surrounding the Kaballah and the Angels). He has fused himself with his O-Parts. In his most recent appearances, he appears to have become disillusioned with Miko's dreams, and helped Jio and company free Ruby's body from her containment chamber.

Ponzu is a legendary hacker that Cross went to look for, and later found. She accompanied him back to the Shin and helped to answer his questions. Post timeskip finds her still on the Shin under the command of Miko. It has been revealed that she is the 9th Devil, Lilith.

[edit] Tsubame

Tsubame is Mei's brother, and the former chieftain of the Cyclops village. He fell down a cliff while fighting against Zenom operatives, and was taken for dead. However, he was rescued by Mishima, who helped him open his Cyclops third eye. He later reappeared briefly as a Stea agent to stop Jio and company.

Ruby's father and a former Stea Republic Army Officer. He has betrayed Stea Republic and become a treasure hunter to track down the Legendary O-Part. Died in official record but is later revealed to be a traitor and head of the Zenom organization.

[edit] Kujaku

The younger brother of Kirin and one of the Four Guardians of Zenom Organization. He is responsible for the dark kabbalah project that Zenom is conducting, and is searching for the devils. He is sadistic in nature and envious about his brother's ability to use the Cyclops third eye. He is Devil No. 8i - Adramelech (Greed). Kujaku is an opt but is never seen using an O-part, as he usually relies on his demon powers instead.

One of the Four Guardians. He distrusts Kujaku and is aware of Kujaku's ambition to take control of Zenom. He is one of the angels(Samuel), and as a result has the ability to remove collected demons from the dark kabbalah.

An upper-rank member of Zenom Organization. Baku appears to be Jack Cresent's most trusted agent.

A lower-rank member of Zenom Organization. He infiltrated Entotsu City to monitor the excavation of the S Rank O-Part Mekisis. Being emotionally unstable, he has a tendency to kill people without hesitiation, even fellow members of Zenom Organization. His O-Parts are two rings called Brothers, they each have individual effects (that work in tandem): Remote Handling and Teleport. After Mekisis is excavated, Wise controls it to fight Jio. He is defeated by Jio.

[edit] Jin

Jio's childhood friend that helped Jio when he was bullied by other kids. The same day, Jin's parents were killed by Jio in Satan form, which was witnessed by Jin. He carries extreme hatred towards Jio and wants to kill him. He later became an O.P.T. and met Jio while on a mission. During their fight, Satan is awakened and tells him the truth about his parents' death. Jin forgives Jio and saves his life in the fire. His O-Part is Ashura (B rank), and its effect is Flame. Jin has two special attacks, fuelled by his hatred of Jio: Black Flame Pillar and Black Flame Dragon. Later, Jin returns to take place in the Olympia tournament. During the Olympia tournament, it is revealed that Jin no longer hates Jio. Instead, Jin is now focused on saving Jio from Satan. And the hatred that fueled the black flames of Ashura have been replaced by the more powerful blue flames.

A former upper-rank member of Zenom Organization. His parents were killed by Stea Republic Army. Because of this, he joined Zenom Organization to overthrow the Stea Republic. His O-Part is Race, its effects are Handling and Ice. Defeated by Jin at the Olympiad, he survives and realizes he has led a bad existence and left Zenom after Kujaku almost kills him. Post-timeskip his O-Part is not only repaired, but appears to have received a considerable upgrade. He also is seen training with Kaito and has discussed that their combined power could probably match one of Zenom's four guardians.

[edit] Kaito

A participant of the Olympiad, Kaito was defeated by Ball. His sister Yuria, devil number 3, was taken by Zenom to be placed into the reverse-Kaballah. During the time skip, he has joined forces with Shuri, and the two plan to rescue Yuria and destroy Zenom. Kaito is an opt that uses a weight changing o-part, prior to the time skip it was a large sword, and after the time skip it was a glove which gave him a full suit of armor when he activated the o-part

A fat man that uses the Mackerel Sword sword who Jio and friends meet during the Rockbird Arc. After the time skip he is traveling with Jin.
