Achtung, die Kurve!, also known as Zatacka is a freeware, multiplayer DOS computer game that supports from two-player up to six-player gaming. The game author or authors are unknown, and the game is supposedly from 1995, being written in Borland C++.
The game bears some resemblance to the game Snake, though in Achtung, Die Kurve! the main goal is to make your opponent hit the wall, his kurve or your kurve. As a result, the game resembles closely to the famous Light Cycle of the 1982 movie Tron. You control the kurve by only two buttons: one makes the snake turn left; the other, right. Although the game has primitive graphics, the gameplay is loved by many fans worldwide.
[edit] Gameplay
The players spawn at random places on the map, and they keep moving at a constant speed until they crash or win. The goal is to "outlive" all your cokurves and be the last one to crash. This is most often done by forcing your oponents to crash. At random intervals relatively(size is varying) small holes are created in the kurvebodies. These holes are great for escaping from a certain crash, or for just showing off your skills.(See Trivia)
