Hi,

French common word for headless is décapité. No use of the neologism acéphale. Whereas cephalus means brain, I would say brainless instead. Yet, I don't know how it sounds in English. Nevertheless, the naming of George Bataille's society did not use a commonly used term.

I fix the article accordingly, revert if you find smtg to argue.
