Abuja Gateway Consortium (AGC) is a consortium made up by Gitto Construzioni Generali Nigeria Limited (49.5%), Net Technologies Limited (20%), Airline Services Limited, British Airways, South African Airways, Lufthansa German Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch, Air France and Virgin Nigeria, A.G. Ferrero (10%) and Airport Consulting Vienna GmbH.

As a way to ensure development the operations of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, was on November 13, 2006, taken over by AGC under a Public Private Partnership arrangement. This model is to be followed for the airports of Port Harcourt International Airport, Enugu, Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport and Lagos during 2007. The contract – that includes investments of about USD371 millions, of which USD50 millions in the first five years – is said to transform the airport to a major business hub in the region.

The consortium has assigned the Airports Authority of India for the operations of the airport.
