In my opinion, this site is a smirch on the name of the National Park Service. When I went there, the info-film in the visitor's center was hilariously corny and out-of-date, and spent a few minutes on a hymn while gazing at nature views. The Lincolns moved out shortly thereafter, so Lincoln only spent a few years of his boyhood here. The main visitor's area isn't even the exact location of the birthplace, I think. And then there's the log cabin, which is a total fake designed for fairs and housed in an ornate Greek temple on a hilltop. You're not allowed to take flash photos because they might damage the logs. If my memory was sharper (it's been two years), I'd add more info to this article, but it truly is a pathetic excuse for a national park. (It shouldn't even be one, really...)
