[edit] Cabeza de Baca Family
Just a note--starting a page with little or no content (such as Cabeza de Baca Family's "This article is currently being written by Abqbobcat. Please come back soon!") is not really a good idea. It meets speedy deletion guidelines to tag an article with little or no relevant content.
I'd suggest two alternate plans...
- Write the majority of the article (or at least a significant chunk of it that includes its notability and relevant context) before clicking the "Save page" button--make use ofthe "Show preview" option to check for errors
- To spread article development time over a longer period, create a subpage of your user page (such as User:Abqbobcat/Cabeza de Baca Family on which you can write everything, tweaking the details and referencing sources, then export it to the mainspace (by copy & paste to the properly named article). Then request the deletion of your extra user page with {{db-author}}. [This is a good way to work on an article with a few collaborators, too...]

I would like to thank User:Scientizzle for infoming me of the Wikipedia policies. After the Cabeza de Baca Family page was deleted, I went back and re-created it with enough information to satisfy the editors. I won't create a unfinished page again!
