Abovce (Hungarian: Abafalu) is a village and municipality in the Rimavská Sobota District of the Banská Bystrica Region of Slovakia.

In historical records, the village was first mentioned in 1339 (Abafalwa) when it belonged to the local noble family Abovci (Aboy). It suffered devastation by Turks and afterwards many epidemies beat its inhabitants. From 1938 to 1945 it belonged to Hungary under the First Vienna Award.
