It would be nice if this article (or the one on Yamoussoukro) mentioned why the capital was moved.

[edit] Cleanup tag

It was added because the lead sounds a little too much like a travel guide, e.g. "city of contrasts", "upscale residential area", etc. Hopefully someone will be able to fix this. Brisvegas 00:13, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A poor article all around

It's not just the lead. The entire article suffers from two problems: reading like a travel guide for Western tourists, and containing a huge number of totally unsubstaniated generalizations... I'm sure the city is dangerous, but that should be sourced by pointing to actual quotes on criminal acts and their frequency, not vague claims about what is and isn't "dangerous" to do there.

To test it, try imagining any of the sentences in the wikipedia article on Detroit. It's probably not a great idea for tourists to take bus routes through parts of Detroit at night, but an encyclopedia article would never recommend against it. Passdoubt | Talk 22:53, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
