Abissa

Abissa is a cultural concept embracing the music, dance, and spiritual life of the N’zima people in the town of Grand Bassam, Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa. The most known expression of Abissa is a festival celebrated by the N’zima people on the last week of October on the island of Grand Bassam. It is a time of forgiveness and rebirth marked by a weeklong celebration.
