Ability Online

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ability Online is a Canadian online community for children with medical illnesses or disabilities and their families.

The site was started in 1991 by Arlette Lefebvre (aka "Dr. Froggie") and co-founder Brian Hillis, at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario. Originally a BBS, the service was set up to connect disabled/ill children and their parents to other disabled children and their parents around the world.
