[edit] Welcome, Abela2006!
I'm Riana, and I noticed that you're new, so I thought I'd drop you a note. We do have a lot of users, and are currently working on 1,727,279 articles, so things can be a little intimidating... but don't worry! We love to help out, and we'll try our best to make your stay here as comfortable as possible.
Here are a few links I found useful when I first arrived here:-

You should sign your name on talk pages, discussions and votes by typing ~~~~; our software automatically converts it to your username and the date. Also, if you don't want to jump right into editing articles right now, why not check out the sandbox? Feel free to make test edits there.
I know it's a lot of information, but there are two more things I recommend you take note of while editing Wikipedia - cite references wherever possible, and avoid allowing personal biases interfere with your editing.
I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian - I definitely do. Although we all make mistakes, please keep in mind what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or problems, leave me a message on my talk page, and I'll try my best to help. Otherwise, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
We hope you stick around, and make sure you enjoy yourself! Cheers, – Riana ঋ 04:05, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi there, I recommend you withdraw your RfA. With only 7 edits, you honestly have zero chance of passing. Most people expect something like 2000 edits and 3 months tenure as a minimum requirement for adminship, as it is a role which involves a great deal of community trust. Please withdraw, as RfA voters can be fairly brutal. – Riana ঋ 04:05, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, I've closed your RfA per WP:SNOW. I suggest reviewing some of the links Riana has posted in the welcome message above and getting started on editing. Once you have a few thousand edits (generally the standard for admins) under your belt and you are familiar with Wikipedia polices and have shown yourself to be a trusted user, you may want to reconsider RfA. Let me know if you need any help. John Reaves (talk) 04:16, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hi, Abela
Richard Cavell has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Happy editing!
Smile at others by adding {{subst:Smile}} to their talk page with a friendly message.

[edit] WP:RFA
Please do not repost your unsuccessful RfA back onto the page. If has been closed, and valuable advice has been offered on the page. I suggest you follow that advice and try for RfA at a later time. —210physicq (c) 04:24, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- I just thought I would tell you that your are very, VERY close to violating the Three Revert Rule in regards to your RfA. I really hope you stay around here, get some experience and then try for adminship again in a few months. Please don't ruin it now. Kntrabssi 04:26, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
lol Do u guys honestly think i give a crap if i violate some three post clause or whatever ur talking about??? jeez guys, u all gotta get out and stop studying ur wikipedia bylaws. Go out to a bar, get drunk, and meet some people. Adios amigos.
- In all fairness, that's what being an admin is about: being knowledgeable about all of Wikipedia's rules and policies. Don't be discouraged. Leebo T/C 04:35, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism and immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. Metros232 04:40, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
go and block me. I cant use wikipedia as a source on my term papers anyway. It's called encarta. Abela2006 04:42, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Everyone chill out
Abela, your request for adminship was premature. I'm sorry that the wikipedia community piled on to oppose your request, and that you've taken this personally. Don't react to it by feeling disenfranchised and lashing out. You are welcome to participate in wikipedia. Please read the links above. - Richard Cavell 04:53, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Changing your username won't work
Abela, if you change your username all this text will stay on your talk page. If you want to start again with a clean slate, which I would like you to be able to do, just create a new login name. We won't know, and we won't chase you. - Richard Cavell 05:12, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
