- Yeah, I noticed that too. I assume his family was escaping anti-semitic persecution of the type that was common in Europe before the actual Holocaust.Geoffg 01:32, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- in 1923 there were no "preludes" to the Holocaust, no hint of the atrocities to come just yet. His family most likely emmigrated to the US for the opportunities "the American Dream" offered them. MPJ-DK 11:08, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Abe Coleman's family most likely would have left Poland in the early 1920s because of the frequent Jewish pogroms that were common in Europe before, during and after the war. Poland, with a high concentration of Jews in its urban centers, would have been an especially vulnerable place to live. EdinPasCA 13:00, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
