Abergynolwyn

Abergynolwyn is a small village in Gwynedd, Wales, lying on the River Dysyni. Historically it main industry was slate quarrying and the village was founded in the 1860's to house workers at the nearby Bryn Eglwys quarry. Today farming and tourism are the major local industries.

Local attractions include the Talyllyn Railway narrow gauge railway, Tal-y-llyn lake, the Castell y Bere near Llanfihangel-y-Pennant (built by Llewellyn the Great in 1221) and the Iron Age fort on Craig yr Aderyn.
