From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Abe Masakatsu (阿部 正勝? 1541-1600) was a daimyo of the Abe clan of Mikawa who served Tokugawa Ieyasu as a longtime retainer until his death.

In 1590, Ieyasu gave him Ichihara, worth 5,000 koku. After Abe's death at the Battle of Sekigahara, he was succeeded by his son, Abe Masatsugu.

It is also known that in 1594 Toyotomi Hideyoshi rewarded Masakatsu with his prized surname, Toyotomi.
