Abe Froman (band)

Abe Froman were a DIY Pop Punk Band from Lansing, Michigan. They formed in 1999 to play their first show in Old Town Lansing at the Otherwise Gallery with Alkaline Trio. Their Michigan contemporaries include Canine Sugar, Small Brown Bike, North Lincoln, The Bushido Dragons, and Berwer. Over the five years of their existence, Abe Froman toured with Boomfancy (Little Rock, AR), The Devil is Electric (Bloomington, IN), This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb (Pensacola, FL) and The Max Levine Ensemble (Washington, DC). Roadies included Justin Clifford Rhody, Lisa Bennet Merva, Ryan Gilbert Saulsbury, Paul Koa Luke, Nate Powell, and Natalie Smith. They played their final show at the Plan-It-X Records Ten Year Anniversary Festival in 2004 in Bloomington, IN. Their name is a reference to the sausage king of Chicago from the film Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
