Well, this edit is your first edit... you can just browse back on your contributions page. Looking back on your log it says "15:36, 2 February 2006 Abdullah Geelah (Talk | contribs | block) (New user (Talk | contribs | block))". So, that's when you created your account. I'm not exactly sure what you meant but "make my Wikipedia userpage the same in my Wikitionary userpage and Arabic Wikipedia userpage"... but... for instance when I link to Arabic I did [[ar:User:Grenavitar]]. To link from English wiktionary you'd do [[wikipedia:User:Grenavitar]] for my English page. So to link to wiktionary from here it would be [[wiktionary:User:Grenavitar]]. Hi Cool Cat, I 've tried to translate cool cat into Arabic and I am working on it. I'm not sure about you going to Iran or Saudi Arabia because both countries are Islamic fundmentalist and I heard that they will not allow non-Muslim froeigners into thier countries, especially if you are either a Jew or form the State of Israel. --Abdullah Geelah 21:20, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi Abdullah -- unfortunately, copying articles from the BBC site does violate their copyright, so I will go ahead and remove the text of that page. Mr Scott looks like an interesting person and deserving of an article here in Wikipedia, though, so I'll replace it with a brief summary statement that doesn't violate copyright and maybe someone else will see it and add to it. I've looked at the Saba Douglas-Hamilton article and while the author may have used the BBC site as one source, it is not a word-for-word copy nor is it a simple restating of the information, so I don't believe it violates copyright. Thanks! --Bookgrrl 16:00, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Translation to Hebrew

Hello Abdullah,

I transliterated your name into Hebrew letters on your user page. I hope that is what you meant when you asked me to translate it.

The word "gila" (גילה) happens to mean "joy" in Hebrew, but this is probably just a coincidence - i guess that your name is Somali or Arabic, and they are different. Abdullah means "servant of God" in Arabic, but you probably know that. In Hebrew it would be something like "`Eved-Elohim" (עבד-אלוהים). It sounds quite similar because Hebrew, like Arabic, is a Semitic language.

I need to knwo your full name along with some information in order to correctly translate it properly: 1) Your full name as it is written 2) How your last name is pronounced or any other names you may have 3) The meaning of the name in Arabic (especially your last if you know) 4) The place you were born, describe me the location i.e. forest? lake? near the coast? etc... only need to know one detail, or the craft of your father... usually when translating a foreign name to Portuguese we need to take these things into account in order to provide a Portuguese version. So far as it stands it's Abdul Gelah, but that's not entirely right for the last name because I'm sure there's a better translation if you provide me the details I've requested. Hope you're well. Yes I know that you put your father's name and mother's name into the last name, but this isn't neccessarily required, only for birth mainly. I do not use all those names. However your last name will remain unchanged then basically, the purpose I removed the second e is because in Portugal it is extremely rare to have two consonants or vowels together in any name. I left your name in Japanese as you requested. You may've noticed that your last name is used first like many Asiatic languages. Your name is also in katakana for one simple reason: your name is not translatable into kanji or hiragana where your name is a direct translation from the romanticized form of your full name. مرحبً! You asked me to write your name in Estonian and Esperanto. I'm not totally confident about it, but I think in Estonian it would be Abdulla Giila, and in Esperanto (even less certain about this one) perhaps Abdula Gila or Abdulo Gilo (nouns in Esperanto always end with the vowel o). I don't know the meaning or the structure of your name, though, so it could be different.

I'm a bit curious about how you found me. Was it by looking at the language skill categories?

The Urdu and other regional languages of Pakistan are based on Arabic script. So your name is same as written in Arabic. It will be same in Farsi, Pashto, Balochi, Seraiki, Punjabi, Kashmiri and Sindhi. It will be عبدالله جيله in all languages of Pakistan. Siddiqui 00:21, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
