From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Abdul Muneem Patel (born 17 April 1989) is one of the suspects arrested in the UK in connection to the 2006 transatlantic aircraft terrorist plot in the United Kingdom, and one of the nineteen whose accounts were frozen by the Bank of England.[1] He was the youngest of the arrested suspects, being only 17 years old at the time.

The Penincula reports that "Lawyers for the three charged with lesser offences indicated that they would plead not guilty. They include a 17-year-old (Abdul Muneem Patel) charged with having items useful to a terrorist including suicide notes and a book on bombs,.. The 17-year-old — too young under British law to appear in the dock or to be identified — sat next to his lawyer on the back row of the three benches reserved for their legal team".[2]
