Aaron Taylor (Nebraska)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aaron Taylor is a former University of Nebraska football player. He won the Outland Trophy as the top college lineman in 1997. He went to Rider High School in Wichita Falls, Texas. He has a daughter. He was recruited by the Indianapolis Colts, but was dropped when the offensive line coach was fired and a new coach brought in a new offensive plan. He was immediately picked up by the Chicago Bears, but after one season gave it up for a business career. After football he volunteered coaching high school football and selling insurance. He began playing sports at six years old in Germany while his dad was in the US Air Force. He played all sports until the 9th grade, but the soccer was a year-round sport for him, especially in Germany where he played on a U.S./German team the second time he lived there and from which he was selected to be on an exclusive German district team. He played sports in San Antonio TX in between the two times he lived in Germany. Arriving back in Texas to begin the 9th grade, he dropped all sports to devote his time to football. It was the first time Aaron played football in an organized program. Aaron still lives and works in Nebraska.
