Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
With Piper away at Magic School and Phoebe without her active powers, an overworked Paige re-conjures "Mr. Right" for stress relief, but unknowingly releases his evil twin. Appealing to Paige's dark side, Mr. Wrong/Vincent uses his pheromones to trick her into realizing that the only way to achieve her secret desire is to be free and use her magic without fear of consequence, eventually killing her sisters. To prevent Paige from executing his plan, Phoebe goes undercover as one of Mr. Wrong's Demonatrix assassins. Meanwhile, Chris ends up in prison after a run-in with Mr. Wrong, and Darryl informs the sisters that he will no longer cover for them.

- Demonatrix Demons: Demonatrix are blonde, deadly, leather-clad female demon assassins who are able to teleport and have excellent fighting skills. However, they do not have any battling active powers, so they rely on their throwing-star weapons in battle.

- The episode title is a play on words to the play Long Day's Journey Into Night.
- Another title used to promote this episode by The WB was "Stormy Leather" in the US and "Demonatrix" in Australia.
- Wyatt says his second word "Dada" to Leo in this episode. Similarly, Chris finally calls Leo dad in this episode.
- Chris is arrested in this episode, even though he has no physical record of existing yet such as a birth certificate or social security number.
- Throughout this episode Mr. Right and Mr. Wrong refer to their raison d'être which translate to "reason to exist." Paige has said this in "Little Monsters."
- Phoebe and Paige first conjured up a different Mr. Right for Piper on her birthday earlier this season in the episode "Prince Charmed."
- Jennifer O'Dell, The Lost World (TV series), makes a guest appearance in this episode playing the role as '"Elisa"'.
