A Whale of a Tale is an unreleased album recorded by Herman's Hermits in 1972 after Peter Noone left them. It is southern rock flavoured and has many unusual sounds, including the country sound of new singer/Guitarist Peter Cowap. Derek Leckenby's skills on guitar and Dobro are also most apparent on this album.
