A Walk in Hell is the last episode to date on Discovery Channel's I Shouldn't Be Alive. It tells the story about five Boy Scouts and three more elderly men who take a hike in the Grand Canyon and their amazing survival story.
They are planning to take a hike to the Colorado River then come back, a hike they estimate will take about a week. However, to get to the river, they must keep on going when the hiking trail ends. So, the group of eight start taking a hike in the canyon, when it becomes quite steep and ocassionaly everyone falls. Little do they know a heat wave is heading their way with temperatures of 112 °F (44 °C). Soon, the trail ends, and they continue their hike. The next day, they are so thirsty, they have no more water left. The group stops for a moment, and one of the elderly men remembers that last year, he remembers a small waterfall near them to take a drink. David, one of the boy scouts, volunteers to go find it. When he gets there, he finds out the waterfall has dried up. Later, one of the elders collapses, but it's a few minutes when everybody notices. They yell at him and tell him they'll return with water. A few hours later, two more elders and two Boy Scouts also collapse. They tell the other three that they should wait in the shade they have found, but the three do not agree and think they'll die if they don't find water. The three continue, see the river, but to their horror, the river is down a 200 foot cliff. They think they'll never make it. Meanwhile, at the first elder who collapsed, he encounters a rattlesnake. After one hour, the snake finally leaves. Meanwhile, at the three Boy Scouts left, one goes down the cliff, while the other two are too scared. The other two finally go down with the fear that they can't help the others. They make it down, and one 15-year old collapses from severe heat stroke. One goes and finds the river and returns water, but he won't swallow it. The next teenager goes to the river, and while drinking water, he sees two kayaks. Luckily, the kayakers are paramedics and off-duty doctors. However, they are unable to help the collapsed Boy Scout and he dies. Next morning, helicopters relocate the rest of the group.
