[edit] Synopsis
The Wizard King of the West (who lives in The Sky) sends his unnamed messenger to the Ace Magic Wand Factory ("A New Wand Made Every Century"), where a special wand that the Wizard King ordered for 50 years ago has just been finished. Immediately after the messenger picks up said wand, the Wizard King discovers through his crystal ball that Bowser is out to steal the wand! The worried monarch contacts Mario and Luigi (via Toad's bathtub) and alerts them of the news, giving them a brief glimpse of the waterfall Bowser's attacking at.
Toad happens to know where the waterfall is, so he guides the Mario Bros. and Princess Peach to it just in time to see Bowser and the Koopalings chasing the messenger. Mario manages to scare the Koopas off by using a Fire Flower to transform and throw fireballs at them. After bringing the messenger and the wand to his house, Toad wants to use the wand himself, but the others say no, with the messenger telling him that only a trained magician is allowed to touch it. While that is going on, the Wizard King slowly begins his journey to pick up the wand himself.
A few minutes later, Toad takes the wand out anyway and transforms some nearby pipes into giant anthropomorphic pipe creatures, making them dance for his amusement. But the pipe monsters rebel against Toad, take the wand from him, and create a horde of Pile Driver Micro-Goombas to chase him. He and the Mario Bros. manage to elude the Micro-Goombas, but then Bowser and his kids reappear, this time with a pair of Boomerang Bros. who manage to snatch the wand from the pipe monsters, allowing Koopa to take control of the pipe monsters.
But then Wendy, Roy, and Larry start using the wand to cause trouble of their own, including trapping the Princess in Toad's house by enlarging the fence and producing a giant Nipper Plant. However, Toad and Mario manage to combat the Koopas' magic and send them back to Darkland. After Toad apologizes for causing all this trouble, the Wizard King reveals that all he wanted to do with the wand was use it to barbecue hot dogs.
