A SNAKE'S TAIL by Bijan Daneshmand An Iranian film made in London. Completed January 2006. This is a story about the quest of a successful Iranian businessman for his roots, his friendship with a Mullah, his addiction to opium and his eventual spiritual awakening.
A SNAKE'S TAIL, an Iranian film made in London by Bijan Daneshmand has been awarded Best International Feature, and nominated for Best Actor at the Bare Bones International Film Festival Oklahoma 17-23 April. This Festival focuses on films of budgets of less than US$ 5 million and where the auteur, director, and producer may be all the same person. In 2004 Bijan Daneshmand produced and acted in his first feature film 20 FINGERS directed and acted by Mania Akbari. This film was the winner Best Film Venezia Digitale Venice Film Festival 2004, Best Film Bahamas Film Fest 2004, Best Film Barcelona Di 2005, and selected at over 30 festivals worldwide, including the Sao Paulo International Film Festival. It has been acquired also by Channel 4 UK, Finland TV, Spain, Poland Canal + Ale Kino, Slovenia TV, Facet DVD worldwide.
