Power Rangers: A Rock Adventure was a soundtrack complination of several songs from the first two seasons of the live-action children's action/adventure series Power Rangers (then known as "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers"), the songs were performed by Ron Wasserman (billed by his alias of "The Mighty RAW" on the album). It was released as a CD and a two-sided tape cassette at the height of the series popularity, with a single from the album also released indivdually.

It stood out amongst many other soundtracks at the time for it's daring concept album style. The songs, barring four, were all loosely based around a linking story narrative, using audio samplings from Power Rangers episodes such as "Birds of a Feather" and "The Mutiny". This latter "adaptation" is at best almost spoiler-free, whilst they acknowledge the arrival of Lord Zedd and the brief departure of previous villain Rita Repulsa, there is no mention of the Thunderzords, and much of Pirantis Head's threat and powers are cut out because they involve freezing and controlling the Dinozords, events that prohibit their participation in the climax to this album's story.

To add to the narrative's jarbled continuity, Tommy Oliver's lines, which dovetail into the track "Go Green Ranger, Go!" are all taken from "The Green Candle, Part Two" (Tommy's exchange with Zordon as Cyclops attacks Angel Grove, insisting that if given the chance, he can handle him despite his ailing powers). The next track, "5-4-1" uses more dialouge from this episode, with Zordon sending the Rangers to help Tommy before his powers completely fail him. Additional lines from "Birds of a Feather" are also used in this track

Rita's argument with her minions from the conclusion to season one episode "Doomsday Part Two" is also used prior to the third track "Lord Zedd" (Goldar's original line after "Never mind that" is "...Rita, get us out of here before Ultrazord blasts us", but on the album it's "Nevermind that, Lord Zedd, the true emperor has returned").

The Audio story concludes with Pirantis Head meeting his fate at the hands of the original Ultrazord, a vast contrast to his true demise in "The Mutiny" at the hands of the Thunder Megazord.

The final line of previously used dialouge used in the album, just before the television version of the theme song (The Rangers celebrating the destruction of Cyclopsis in The Command Centre, the dialouge cuts to the team yelling "POWER RANGERS!" after Zordon proclaims that "The world is very lucky to have you, and so am I")

Because the Album had been produced prior to the introduction of The White Ranger, new audio material was recorded by actors David Feilding and Richard Steven Horvitz in their roles as Zordon and Alpha 5 respectivly, to introduce the theme song for Tommy's second Ranger identity, "White Ranger Tiger Power", with Zordon proclaiming to the startled Alpha that the White Ranger was "the future you are seeing" (Alpha was looking into the Viewing Globe)

The final track was a dance remix of the original Power Rangers theme, which also incorporated Feilding's exchange about the White Ranger. The track was released commercially as the album's main single, with a music video produced consisting of footage of the first season. It was distributed heavily in the UK, and once aired on Region Two BBC music show Top Of The Pops.

The album remains a vastly traded favourite amongst Power Rangers fans, and was eventually "followed up" by further albums, but they forsook the concept album route and served as basic television and movie soundtracks.
