[edit] Plot summary

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Andre Shame (Keenen Ivory Wayans) is a private detective formerly of the LAPD, who left after failing to crack the case on drug lord Mendoza (Andrew Divoff). At the same time, becoming romantically entangled with his ex-girlfriend Angela (Salli Richardson). However, when Rothmiller (Charles S. Dutton), Shame's ex-colleague now working for the DEA, tells him that the Mendoza case is being re-opened, Shame can't help but begin a personal investigation. This time, hopefully, Shame won't embarrass his private investigative talents by becoming sidetracked by a renewed romance.
