[edit] Plot

In 1952, Duckburg is about to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Scrooge McDuck's arrival in town when Scrooge's biggest foes, led by Blackheart Beagle, team up to take advantage of it for their objectives.

[edit] Detailed plot

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Scrooge McDuck was starting the annual reports of McDuck Corporation, a time of the year of which he's not very fond, as he can't make any profits during it. Emily Quackfaster then reminds him about his golden jubilee. Scrooge has no idea of what a "jubilee" is but "golden" awakes his interest. She says it's Scrooge 50th anniversary of his first arrival in Duckburg. A contest is being held because of that. The contest sponsor offers US$ 1 million to whoever gives Scrooge a special gift he wants. After a sequnce of events, he finds himself in old Duckburg, beneath the modern city. Here, Scrooge learns the contest was a way to distract everyone while the Beagle Boys steal his money. The sponsor was Flintheart Glomgold in a magical disguise provided by Magica De Spell.

[edit] Magica's downfall

While the other villains put Scrooge's money in a train, Scrooge is left alone with Magica and starts crying feeling sorry not only for himself but also for her (actually he was distracting her while using old wires of the phone company to send a morse code message asking for help). Magica doesn't understand as she finally has the first coin ever earned by the richest man on Earth. Scrooge reminds her how far he will be from this title because of the robbery. Magica is obviously depressed and shocked. Seeing she now has no idea of how to make her spell work, Scrooge gives her an advice, for a price.

Donald Duck and the nephews rescue Scrooge, who tries to stop the villains but fails.

[edit] The Beagle Boys's downfall

Blackheart tells Scrooge there's no way to stop the train as it's going to leave town. Scrooge tells him the track had been condemned (by him) years ago and the train will fall at Scrooge's sewer system.

Scrooge not only has to save his money but the town as well, as Blackheart had placed explosives everywhere.

[edit] Blackheart's downfall

After Donald Duck disarms the explosives, Blackheart tries to escape using a bike saucer bought from Gyro Gearloose when Gladstone Gander, thinking on a way to stop him, asks the police chief to put a reward on Blackheart. After a US$ 1 thousand reward is offered, a wind makes Blackheart hit a banner placed on the statue of Cornelius Coot and fall on the ground, where Gladstone "catches" him.

[edit] Flintheart's downfall

After Blackheart is captured, Magica says she hopes her remaining transportation dust isn't too wet for a escape from the town, the Beagle boys ask to join her and she agrees, saying Scrooge gave her an advice she could use their help. She sends them to the Valley of Limpopo. Flintheart was happy at getting rid of them until he remembers what he keeps there. He asks his hover jet to pick him and get him back to his bin immediately. Some days later, Flintheart's Money Bin in Limpopo Valley, South Africa, suffers a combined raid by the Beagle Boys and Magica De Spell. Flintheart asks what he did to deserve that.

[edit] Epilogue

After the town and Scrooge's money are saved, Goldie O'Gilt shows up. Donald started arrangements for this visit one month ago.
