[edit] Enemies
- The Evil Enchantress: A past life of the Charmed One Paige, the Evil Enchantress was a powerful witch who came to the craft late, but learned to use it quickly. She has the power to conjure the elements. She imprisoned the prince's bride, Lady Julia, and cast spell on the prince; she planned to conceive the Prince's heir and, through the child, ensure that dark magic would rule his kingdom. Her powers were bound and the Prince returned to his true love, the spell broken and her plan thwarted.
- Shocker Demon: Composed of electrical energy, this demon was able to manifest in its energy form whenever electrical power was utilised. Once cohered a shocker demon can electrocute with a touch or fire bolts of electricity. Piper Halliwell’s particle manipulation was able to discorporate a shocker demon, sending it into retreat, but they can only be truly vanquished by a Power of Three spell.
[edit] Spells
- To Call a Lover to Oneself: Bring together my prince and me. Let him fall on bended knee. I summon him to my side, that he may take me to be his destined bride.
- To Follow a Lover Through Time: Bring together my prince and me. His kingdom now I wish to see. Crossing history to his side, from myself I will not hide.
- To Vanquish the Shocker Demon: Vanquish, we three witches cry. One final shock and then you die.
[edit] Trivia
- The title of this episode is a play on words to the film A Night to Remember.
- We discover that in one of Paige's past lives, she was an evil enchantress.
- Piper and Phoebe convince Paige to move into the manor in this episode.
- The woman in the photo the Enchantress finds with Paige is actually of the series wardrobe director, Elish.
- The Evil Enchantress' powers is that she can conjure the elements, but she only uses two of them: fire and wind. Speculation: the Evil Enchantress used her earth/metal power to control the iron portcullis and also Paige used the power of water (blue) to counter the Evil Enchantress' fire (red) when she tapped into her past life power.
- The constellation showing at the beginning of this episode that resemble the prince is actually modified Orion (who was the hunter lover of goddess Artemis).
- In the episode That Old Black Magic, the Halliwell sister were not able to disempower the evil witch Tuatha, because to do that spell, a human heart is needed. In this episode, however, they came up with a new potion to bind the Evil Enchantress' power. Speculation: In the That Old Black Magic, they wanted to take away Tuatha's powers forever, if they'd done this to the Enchantress it probably would have erased Paige's powers also. They just decided to bind the Enchantress' powers instead. The binding potion and disempowering spell are two different things.
- Repeated: The Enchantress in this episode asks Paige how she was able to follow her, to which Paige cockily replies "I'm Charmed.". This is similar to the episode, I've Got You Under My Skin, when Rex states that Prue is luckily (this is because Prue telekinetically made the elevator bypass everyone elses floor and land on her's as she was late for an interview), to this Prue's replies "Yeah, I'm Charmed, alright." She also did this in All Halliwell's Eve, in response to meeting someone, she said "I'm Charmed." These are the only two sisters who have stated the name of the show in episodes.
- This is the first time we see Leo do sword fighting and somersaulting in the air.
- In That '70s Episode the Halliwell sisters were not able to tap into their past young selves' power, but in this episode, however, Paige was able to do that to her past life's. Speculation: This could be because in That '70s Episode the powers already belonged to the younger versions of the Charmed Ones, while in this episode, Paige tapped into the powers of a past life.
- Goof or Paradox of time travel? In Paige's story, the Evil Enchantress did in fact conceive the heir and rule the land in dark magic. Leo warns that her plan must be thwarted otherwise history will be changed. Technically, history was changed by thwarting her plan.
