A Favor House Atlantic

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"A Favor House Atlantic" is a song by progressive rock band Coheed and Cambria from their 2003 album In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3.

[edit] The Single

A single version of this song does exist; however, it was never released in the United States.

The song was one of Coheed and Cambria's breakout singles. It features the characters Claudio and Al the Killer, and is part of the sci-fi saga that is present in all of the band's songs.

The song was made famous when the band was on the Warped Tour of 2004.

In the overseas release, the song was renamed "Bye Bye Beautiful."

[edit] Music Video

The music video of the song revolves around the band in a bar, attempting to pick up women. An alternate version of the band performs the song on the stage. This version could be considered an "80s" version of the band as they wear typical 80s rock style attire such as headbands and tight clothes.

The video's humour is very tongue-in-cheek featuring antics such as drummer Josh Eppard attempting to look up girl's dresses, bassist Michael Todd in a drunken stupor soliciting the services of a drag queen, and Mic again remarks to guitarist Travis Stever, "This band sucks."

The video received heavy rotation on MTV in the summer 2004.

The video was shot at Molly Blooms 2 in Long Island, New York.

An animated music video was also created, but has not been used as the official video for unknown reasons.
