[edit] Welcome

Welcome to Wikipedia! Please do not remove content from articles, as you did to List of Egyptians. It may be considered as vandalism. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Also, do not simply list a name if no article on Wikipedia exists for its subject, and its notability has not been established. Thank you. — [zɪʔɾɪdəʰ] · 21:18, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello again! Actually, the List of Egyptians includes all notable Egyptians, whether ancient, medieval or modern. The two names you removed are very notable and therefore should not be deleted or replaced by subjects of unconfirmed notability. Thanks — [zɪʔɾɪdəʰ] · 21:35, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
It is standard within Wikipedia that section names start with a capital letter, but all following words are lower case (except for things like proper names). I noticed that you made a number of edits to section names, and I reverted those changes. You might consider asking before undergoing a large number of changes. Welcome to Wikipedia, and I hope you continue to make constructive changes. wrp103 (Bill Pringle) 22:15, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
"You might consider asking before undergoing a large number of changes", well asking who, exactly? And what is wrong in writing proper titles?

Normally, before making any kind of major change to an article, you should mention what you are thinking about on the talk page of the article. That will usually generate a discussion, and if the consensus agrees with you, then you can feel free to make the changes.
The above guideline applies only to major changes. If you notice an error, or if you want to make an isolated change to an article, then go right ahead and do that. A common phrase is to "be bold", however you should always be prepared for somebody to disagree with you and dispute your change. Usually, if you are willing to consider different perspectives, you will be able to get along just fine. ;^) wrp103 (Bill Pringle) 00:17, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
If you look at the history of the article, you can bring up the version with your changes. Then copy the changed text that you added. Next, display the current version, and then edit the section(s) you changed and paste your changes into the article. wrp103 (Bill Pringle) 22:59, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

You're going to have to add much more than that for the article to have a chance to survive as it deserves to . I hope you can.DGG 21:35, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
