A Distant Signal

American synthesis Dan Serin began composing instrumental electronic music under the brand A Distant Signal in the late 1980's. Part-time member and Bassist Chaz Smith also contributes to the bands studio material and live performances.
The music of A Distant Signal can be classified in several different genres depending on the listener's interpretation including electronic music, progressive, avant-garde, symphonic, new age, ambient, electronica or space rock.
The core of the music is based around traditional or "classic electronic music" with a definative lean towards heavy melodies, chord progressions, arpeggio sequences and rhythms.
In the 1990's, Dan Serin also composed music for theater and corporate branding projects in addition to producing music for A Distant Signal.
A Distant Signal releases are on the independent music lable Random Wave Music.
