A Big 10-8 Place is Negativland's 3rd album and most arguably, their most coveted, excluding their limited run Negativland LP in 1980. The song deals with fair use and copyrights, but there are some added bonuses, like a whole piece devoted to giving directions from San Francisco to Concord, where the band was formed, and Contra Costa lawn clippings (really, wood chips). The album was re-released by Seeland Records, then with distribution from Mordam Records, in 1994, but since has been long out of print. On the mail order catalog, the band says that they're remastering the album for re-release soon. This was the first album that has Don Joyce and David Wills on it.
