Operation: A.R.C.H.I.V.E./Operation: S.L.U.M.B.E.R. (Ancient Recorded Children's History Is Very Enlightening/Stupid Little Undercover Mission Becomes Exciting Romp) are episodes 306/32 of Codename: Kids Next Door. They premiered July 23, 2004.

[edit] Plot/Synopsis

This episode tells the story (told in voiceover by Numbuh One) of what might be called "the beginning of the world": the first all-kids society, the creation of adults to do their chores, the adult rebellion, how the adult society was born and spread, resulting in the battle between kids and adults, the exile of children to the moon, the last alliance (the "family"), and finally the way adults gained control over children and washed their brains so they wouldn't remember they created adults.

At the end, it is revealed that Numbuh one has been giving a history report to his class. The teacher, Mr. Frybingle, tells Nigel that those things never happened. Class is dismissed.

Then the teacher calls someone and says, "They know..."

It begins when Numbuh 1 tells the team that they have a mission. Then Numbuh 86 arrives in her own rocket to ask for some volunteers for a super-secret mission. Numbuh 4 volunteers and asks if the mission is to guard the all-important KND Code Module. Numbuh 86 tells him it's safe and secure in the KND Moonbase and adds that the secret mission she said about is for girls only, much to his shock. Numbuh 86 says a boy being in this mission is an unacceptable security risk. Numbuh 3 agrees to go on the mission, especially after she finds out there will be popcorn; Numbuh 5 does not. Then, Numbuh 3 goes to the rocket with Numbuh 86 to find some more recruits. Upset, Numbuh 4 vows to go on the mission, no matter what.

At her house Numbuh 86 has invited Numbuhs 3, 12, and 23. Then, a new operative names herself Numbuh 4-30teen-7 (who is really Numbuh 4 disguised as a girl to find out about the secret mission). Then, Numbuh 86's mom comes out to welcome the girls in to a slumber party. She takes their picture, much to Numbuh 86's understandable consternation. Her mom tells the girls to just go in there and "do whatever it is girls do at slumber parties." Numbuh 86 doesn't know what they're supposed to do, but Numbuh 12 offers to help. Numbuh 4 tries to sneak away, but Numbuh 86's mom catches him and forces him inside. At Numbuh 86's room, it's full of Rainbow Monkeys merchandise (not just toys, but also bedding, clothes, even a clock), which Numbuh 4, of course, despises, but tries not to show it, saying he would never have pegged Numbuh 86 as a Rainbow Monkey fanatic. She threatens to kill him if he tells any of the boys. The rest of the girls are having the time of their lives (by doing various things, like watching Rainbow Monkey cartoons or putting on make-up), while Numbuh 4 understandably becomes bored out of his life, but he still tries not to show it.

Then Numbuh 86 goes into the kitchen to check in with the Moonbase. Meanwhile, Numbuhs 3, 12, and 23 play Truth-or-Dare, the question being if Numbuh 3 likes Numbuh 4. Suddenly, they hear screaming in the kitchen and they hurry into the kitchen to find out what all the hullabaloo is about. Numbuh 86's mother is trying to keep her daughter from contacting the Moonbase. Then Numbuh 86 realizes it was not her mother; it's Chad Dickson in disguise. Then, the rest of the kids arrive. When Chad questions the team if they are surprised to see him, Numbuh 3 says that they are surprised... to see him wearing a bra! They all begin to laugh and make fun of him. Chad tells her it is not a bra, it's Battle Ready Armor, which he uses for disguises. Then, Numbuh 23 calls Chad "Chaderella". Frustrated that the girls are still insulting him (and also that Numbuh 86 warns him that "one lousy teen traitor is no match for five KND operatives"), Chad grabs a hostage, which is a Rainbow Monkey, much to the girls' collective shocks; they don't want to risk anything with a Rainbow Monkey on the line. Then Numbuh 4 steps forward and attacks Chad. He knocks him out, but in doing so, Chad loses his grip on the Rainbow Monkey and it flies through the air. Numbuh 86 catches it and yells at Numbuh 4 for trying to attack someone when a Rainbow Monkey is in danger. Suddenly, Numbuh 4's disguise falls off, after which Numbuh 86 furiously demands why Numbuh 4 went to a mission. Then suddenly, the truth hits them: if Chad was supposed to keep them where they are, then something bad is happening at the Moonbase.

Numbuhs 3, 4, 12, 23 and 86 all go to the KND moonbase to find the Code Module and see if it's safe. They find the room, with Numbuh 35's help. Suddenly, when they finally reach the room, they are shocked to find... themselves! Numbuh 35 goes crazy trying to figure out who's who. Then it's revealed that one of the groups is Cree and the Teen Ninjas in disguise! A big fight between the KND and the teens erupts. Eventually, all the teens except Cree are knocked off the platform on which the battle is taking place. Numbuh 86 tells Cree it's over and they've won, because Cree's tricks and disguises can't change the fact the KND defeat her every time. All the KND agree with Numbuh 86 on this one, except Numbuh 12.

We discover that Numbuh 12 is actually working with the teenagers! Worst of all, she has the Code Module in her hands, much to the KND's shocks and the teens' pleasure. Numbuh 86, heartbroken, asks what this is all about. Numbuh 12 replies that she will soon be 13 and, as a result, decides to work with the teens right now, since (according to her, anyway) she would be working with them eventually, anyway. Cree, Numbuh 12 and the other teens all escape, with the Code Module, in a ship, which takes off. Numbuh 86 is more distraught over the loss of Numbuh 12 than the Code Module, saying that she was the closest thing to a friend she ever had. Numbuh 3 tries to comfort her by saying that she's her friend. Numbuh 4 then says that the teens may have won this battle, but the war is far from over and then calls Numbuh 86, "Fanny".
