A.F.S.K. Hom Tov

A.F.S.K. Hom Tov is a spin-off of the A.F.S.K. Industries Group in Haifa, Israel. The managing director and co-founder of the company is Israel Feldman. Another co-founder of the company is Shimon Kazansky. Several investors, including Ofer Glazer, have invested into the company.
A.F.S.K. Hom Tov has patented an oil shale processing method, in which the oil shale will be coated with a residue of the crude oil refining process (bitumen). Company claims this technology to be more efficient and environmental-friendly than classical shale oil producing methods. The technology was presented at the end of 2006. However, so far Hom Tov process has been tested only on a laboratory scale. Company plans to build a small test plant in Haifa, and later a full scale production plant at Mishor Rotem, south of Beer Sheba, where the oil shale resource is estimated at 1.25 billion tons.
