A. Whitney Brown

A(lan) Whitney Brown (b. July 8, 1952) is a comedian probably best known for his recurring appearance on Saturday Night Live in the 1980s; he was a joke news correspondent opposite Dennis Miller, delivering humorous opinion pieces known as "The Big Picture".
He once quipped, "My name is A. Whitney Brown. One day I hope to be THE Whitney Brown." More recently, he appeared on the The Daily Show during the Craig Kilborn era, again as a news correspondent. He has also worked as a writer for these comedy shows as well as Tales from the Crypt. He currently works at Air America Radio.
Born in Charlotte, Michigan, Brown began his career as a street juggler and musician before finding regular employment as a comedian and comedy writer.
