A. K. Faezul Huq

A. K. Faezul Huq (Bengali: এ কে ফায়েজুল হক b. in Calcutta, March 15, 1944) is a reputed Bangladeshi, as well, a prominent and senior political figure in Bangladesh. Huq has been a member of parliament on three occasions and has held various ministerial portfolios during the last three decades.
Huq is the only son of the then Prime Minister of undivided Bengal late Sher-e-Bangla A. K. Fazlul Huq. Apart from politics, he is a practising lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court, and a prominent columnist, He writes for various local English as well as Bengali newspapers such as, Bangladesh Observer, Financial Express, New Age, News Today, New Nation, The Independent, Bangladesh Today, Jugantor and the weekly Dhaka Courier etc.
In 2004, Huq was inducted as an International Poet of Merit and honorary member of the International Society of Poets, USA. [1]
