A.J. Hammer is entertainment anchor for Headline News evening show, Showbiz Tonight.
Hammer came to CNN from Court TV, where he hosted its crime and justice entertainment show, Hollywood Heat.
During most of the '90s, he was a host of VH1's Top 20 Countdown.

On March 20, 2006, Hammer conducted an interview with Charlie Sheen and Alex Jones regarding their views on the September 11, 2001 attacks.[1] In that interview, Hammer expressed support for the notion that there is a government cover-up in connection with the attacks.[2]
