Albert Jay (A.J.) English (born July 11, 1967, in Wilmington, Delaware) is an American former professional basketball player who was selected by the Washington Bullets in the 2nd round (37th overall) of the 1990 NBA Draft. English played two years in the NBA, both with the Bullets and averaged 9.9 ppg. His best year came during the 1991-1992 season, when he appeared in 81 games and averaged 10.9 ppg. He played collegiately at Virginia Union University.
