Mohiuddin Chowdhury is the mayor of Chittagong, the second largest city in Bangladesh, and a veteran politician associated with the Bangladesh Awami League. He has held the mayoral position since 1994. In 2005, he won a landslide victory, his 3rd term, against his opponent, a minister of the ruling party Bangladesh Nationalist Party.

Mohiuddin Chowdhury hails from the village Gahira, in the Raozan upazila of Chittagong District.
