A-Space
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A-Space (est. 1991) is a collectively run anarchist community center and art gallery located at 47th St & Baltimore Avenue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The building is part the Life Center Association (LCA) -- a land trust owning several houses in West Philadelphia. Those people living in these buildings pay money toward a common pool intended for the maintenance of the houses. A representative from each building constitutes the board, with monthly meetings to discuss any necessary repairs.
A-Space also regularly hosts a Books Through Bars program, the Philadelphia Anti-War Forum[1], and NORML meetings.
