From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Michigan County Highway A-42 or A-42 is located in Allegan County, beginning at the US-131/M-179 interchange. It follows along 129th Ave. for about 1/2 mile, then turns south onto 13th St. for about 3/4 mile, then west again on 128th Ave. to its junction with M-40. A-42 goes through Hopkins, Monterey, and Heath townships.

Historical note: A-42 originally began at M-43 west of Hastings, and followed Gun Lake, Bowen's Mill, and Metz roads through Rutland, Springs, and Wayland townships. This portion of A-42 was renamed M-179 in 1999.
