It covers the timeslot 9:00 to 11:00 weekdays and is hosted by Kim Watkins (former spare National Nine News chick) and David Reyne (former Getaway Reporter). Ten sports presenter Steven Quartermain fills in for David, whilst Kathryn Robinson from the news team is the double for the female lead.
The program replaced Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton which run from 1993 to 2005. It is basically format identical, but extended to a duo of hosts. Flogger Moira McLean has been fully replaced by 2007 with Marianne van Dorslar, whose beauty combined with a characteristical monochromatic grin are widely acknowledged. She presents now the vast majority of advertising features - interspersing the editorial content and advertising breaks - which generally appeal to the audience to ring now a certain number to place an immediate product order.
Its competitor is the format identical Mornings with Kerri-Anne, sporting former GMA host Kerri-Anne Kennerly, albeit without male co-host, on Nine.

Criticism
Co-host David Reyne has since long been considered having basic educational and intellectual preconditions. This came even more to the fore on 23 March, 2006, when in the trial for a new medication about half a dozen people suuffered severe harm. The following dialogue between Mr Reyne and Dr Ritchie, a medical expert ensued:
David Reyne: Some of these guys were given a placebo.
Dr David Ritchie: Correct
David Reyne: I don’t really understand what a placebo is, but it seems to have, to have saved them! And wouldn’t it make sense that every time a trial like this takes place, that there’s a placebo on hand.

It may certainly admissible to make a sponteneous error of that kind. Programme hosts are nevertheless given sufficient time to make themselves familiar with the issues they are going to encounter throughout the show. This is part of the common professional preparation.
