[edit] London Underground 1996 Stock
I have moved your comments on the London Underground 1996 Stock article to the talk page. The reason that you were unable to edit it was that it didn't yet exist - page creations by new and anonymous users are restricted as a counter-vanadalism method.
I note that in your comment you mentioned that you were reluctant to register because of national securiry concerns. If you register a account using a pseudonym then you are more anonymous than you are when you use an IP address, which can see by everyone and very easily traced. The IP addresses of registered users are visible only to developers and a very few trusted users who will only look in exceptional circumstances - see the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy and the CheckUser policy.
Registering an account gives many benefits (see Wikipedia:Why create an account?) and requires no personal information - even giving an email address is optional. Thryduulf 11:42, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Please sign posts on your talk page.
- As a courtesy for other editors on Wikipedia, please sign your talk page and user talk page posts. By adding four tildes (~) at the end of your comments, your user name or IP address and the date will be automatically added. Thanks, Thryduulf 12:32, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
