[edit] A simple question

Why did you remove the section on the theory of states of consciousness?

I ask since explaining the existence of this theoretical foundation holds a very natural place in an article devoted to His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

[edit] A simple answer

I did not REmove it, I moved it. Please see the talk page on MMY for discussion of this. Sethie 13:29, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A simple question for you

Are you also the user "Peterklutz?" Sethie 14:23, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Sethie -

Just spotted that my last contribution was erased (again). Clicking on history I read a warning to the effect that if someone continues he or she will be blocked. It is not evident who is addressed.

From what I learned of wikipedia and arbitration etc, I understand that anyone how is treated unfairly - for example by a self-promoting author who has snuck in and achieved some sort of admin status at wikipedia , evidently in order to covertly carry out work for the purpose of degrading information on the site - can easily be reported to wikipedia for further action.

If you have a problem tolerating the free divulging of facts, maybe you should find another forum to work out your issues.

The comment was addressed to you, sorry for the lack of clarity.

I am not an admin Sethie 12:31, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Who are you? With what right do you erase contributions?

Are yours an attempt to make this list branded controversial too?

My username is Sethie, and I have been an editor on Wikipedia for about 8 months.

Anyone has the right to erase contributions.

"Are yours an attempt to make this list branded controversial too? "

I don't want to be rude, and that sentence makes no sense in English, and hence I cannot respond to it. Sethie 15:44, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

I am grateful for your desire to work on the TM pages, however, if you want your edits to last very long, you're going to need to learn how to write as descriptively and neutrally as possible.

The TM page could really use someone who knows and understands TM to put in some material describing TM and the theories behind it, in a way that is not a plug for it.

My request is that you move SLOWLY. The TM page has been the source of a lot of contreversey for many months. Feel free to reply here or on my talk page... and welcome to wikipedia! Sethie 14:42, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello 85.30.186.206, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, some of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy, and have been reverted. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a great page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! --Bill 20:51, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Some advice

We may or may not see eye to eye on TM and related subjects, however, the way you are going about editing is going to get you temporarily or permanently banned from Wikipedia. Given that I would like editors with more knowledge of TM AND wikipedia policies- would you be willing to go and edit some other pages that are unrelated to TM, participate in some discussions, learn more about wikipedia policy and then come back to the TM pages?Sethie 22:11, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Some advice for Seethie

Get a life

) I am the Way the Truth and the Life.... I feel totally complete and Whole- thanks for the offer though! :) Sethie 15:02, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Request for User 85.30.186.206

If you are going to participate in the discussion pages, please add (~~~~) at the end of your comments. It is a way of signing comments, and helps keep clear whose comments are whose. Since your comments were unsigned in the "pov tag discussion" I thought they were all sfacts comments.

Thanks!

[edit] Vandalism to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi article

Please do not remove content from Wikipedia; it is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Sfacets 23:42, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

This is the Transcendental meditation artuicle, not the MMY.

What content is alleged to have been moved?

If you haven't noticed quite a bit of stuff stuff has been added and consilidated the last day or so.

user:Peterklutz

The accusation would be directed at your edits, for example removing time after time Pov tags, requests for citations, and valid user content. These are not allegations, one only needs to take a look at your contribution history to see this.

Please login to your account in future, so next time you won't have to ask who the accusation is directed at. Editing under two different usernames goes against wikipedia policy, and you may get banned for Sockpuppetry. Sfacets 03:26, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

The POV tags have been removed after addressing motivations for it given Talk - They have been so done under the review of your co-critics, who have accepted them. Please, stop threatening - and start being constructive.

You do want MMY and TM articles that offer facts and everyone can live with?

user:Peterklutz

I am not threatening - merely laying down the rules to follow when editing wikipedia. Hey! I am only here to be constructive, which is kind of the point when editing an encyclopedia. Could you point out where my "co-critics" have accepted removing the Pov tag?

To answer your question, yes I do want articles which are un-biased, which is why I re-inserted the POV tag, so people could work on this goal.

It's funny you should ask this question seeing as to your prior removal of user content. Sfacets 03:39, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thank you. Sfacets 03:51, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Would you be willing to discuss some things?

Peterklutz, PeterKlutz, 85.30.186.206- I have a few requests to make of you and conversations I would like to have. I have subdivided the different topics so that we can talk about each one seperately:

[edit] One account

Request: That you only do edits under one account. That you pick one and stick with itSethie 21:26, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] correct signature

Request: That you do not sign anymore edits falsely, i.e. you are not logged in as Peterklutz, yet you sign with "user:Peterklutz."Sethie 21:26, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discuss before huge changes

Request: And lastly, that before you make any more huge changes like you did on the TM page, would you be willing to wait a longer period for more input? Sethie 21:26, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removal of large sections without comment

I would also like to discuss removals of sections without comment. Sethie 21:26, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Use of the "fact" function

I like to talk with you about your recent edits that involve insertion of the "citation needed" by using the "fact" function. While it is true that every idea needs to have a source, it is also true that NO wikipedia article sources EVERY claimed fact. Generally speaking in practice, only ones that are controversial are tagged and cited.

So, I am wondering if before you tag anymore alledged facts for "fact," if you wold discuss on the disucssion page why you believe it needs a citation, i.e. you disbelieve it, you see it as an opinion, you see it as slanderous, etc.Sethie 21:52, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Adding comments for edits

It would really help our dialogue if you would comment on any edit that is more then a typo. Sethie 21:26, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Policy at top of TM talk page

Accoriding to the policy in effect for the TM disucssion page[1], ANY significant edit is to be discussed first, since it is a controversial topic and A LOT Of time, effort and energy has gone into making it as neutral as possible. By participating on the TM page, you are agreeing to abide by those guidenlines (see the box at the top of the TM talk page).

Would you please read them and let me know how you feel about following them?Sethie 21:26, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 5 June 2006

[edit] Blocked for a month

It's acting like a static IP—nobody except banned user Peterklutz has been using it for months. Therefore, I'm blocking it now. Bishonen | talk 08:21, 10 August 2006 (UTC).
