Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --YFB ¿ 00:50, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

I dont understand exactly what part of my changes weren't neutral. I updated it and took out the bits that were negative. can you please explain ?

Well, "after going against general army principles" is unnecessary, for a start. I recommend you consider what your motives are in contributing to this article, and whether they are compatible with an encyclopaedia. --YFB ¿ 01:02, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

but its all truth though. there was a great furore about him leaving the army because he published an article criticising the army in a labour party pamphlet. it goes against strict army principles for any serving major to show political affiliation. you will find the link here http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm199899/cmhansrd/vo981209/debtext/81209-18.htm

i would like to be able to continue to edit this article, as i feel what i am writing is relevant. also, what was your basis for removing my harmless comments about his now supporting gordon brown ?

I have no objection to you continuing to edit the article if you undertake to uphold WP:NPOV. You are currently not doing so: phrases such as "miraculous u-turn" are POV, whether they seem so to you or not. --YFB ¿ 01:10, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

--ok, i will refrain from using phrases such as that. thank you and i apologise for inconvenience

[edit] Eric Joyce

I've cleaned up the article - I'd appreciate it if you refrain from adding any more "sources" or "citations" from political advocacy websites. I shall be keeping a close eye on this article and will not hesistate to revert POV edits. --YFB ¿ 01:30, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

I find your cleanup offensive and disgraceful. you have removed a number of well-credited sources simply because you dont agree with what they say. if i were a member of wikipedia i would report you for vandalism as you having nothing short of decimated this page by over editing and deleting. a shocking blow for the "nanny state of wikipedia" if you ask me. i guess that Mr joyce's shortcomings will have to be documented in a different forum.

I'm sorry if you're offended. I have no opinion whatsoever on Scottish politics, or Eric Joyce, and I neither agree nor disagree with the sources you have noted. Wikipedia is not a "forum" for you to air your opinions on the shortcomings of a politician - there are plenty of political comment websites where I'm sure your input will be welcome. Please feel free to report me for vandalism - I have every confidence that consensus will support my actions. --YFB ¿ 01:39, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

I neither know how, nor have the time to report you for vandalism, and I suspect you are fully aware of this. wikipedia is a forum of types, it is a forum where we can learn about people/things/politicians/celebrities in our day-to-day lives. by stripping this article of its meat you have reduced it to nothing more than a bland, untrue and half-truth of an article.

I'm sorry if you think that. In order for people to learn from Wikipedia we have to ensure we are providing the whole story - that means that criticism must be balanced and not become the sole purpose of the article. It is also vital that we ensure that we provide reputable, unbiased sources for any claims we make, otherwise we stand in violation of WP:NOR. I'm glad you've found time to contribute to Wikipedia and hope you won't be discouraged from doing so in future. If it helps at all, here's a link to report my 'vandalism' - WP:AIV - just click the edit button and add a new line with {{vandal|Yummifruitbat}} and a brief summary of your complaint. --YFB ¿ 01:56, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
