Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Sid Meier's Railroads!. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Yamla 06:17, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
You said: "I can understand you removing the link to the Railroads! forums but you are doing the viewers a disservice. These forums are one of the very few places where people can discuss the game and it is the only place where people can discuss it in a 'Sid Meier's Railroads! theme'. There is no official forum for the game and this forum is a source for technical help (the game has quite a few problems) and user created content. Firaxis themselves are -active- participants here too, helping with tracking down bugs. This forum is needed because there is no other place where they can get direct customer support. Please consider leaving the link in."
- Hhhmmm. Forums are generally inappropriate under WP:EL but I'm tempted to give a pass to this particular one. If you add it back, I won't remove it. But you may want to add a comment such as <!-- Firaxis employees post here, making it a semi-official forum--> and/or discussing it on the article's talk page. --Yamla 20:19, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
I have, good idea, thanks! :)
[edit] Removal of content from article
Hi,
It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Sid Meier's Pirates! (2004). Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Green451 20:30, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hi! Received your message about removing information from Sid Meier's Pirates! (2004) but I seriously didn't know I had removed any information. My apologies. (also: I cannot see any changes in the history... does that happen after a rollback?) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.160.207.66 (talk • contribs).

- Hi again. According to the Pirates article history, you (or another user using your IP address) made a change to the article at 21:01 on 1 January 2007. The edit removed all categories and see also links. You seem to have good intentions, so perhaps it wasn't you? Is there someone else that might have used your computer to edit the article? Just a thought. My apologies if you personally did not remove the content. If you have any more questions, feel free to give me a shout on my talk page. Green451 21:55, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

- Addendum: No, reverting or performing a rollback does not erase the edit history that has happened since the edit that you revert to. If you look at the Pirates edit history, you will see my revert edit (it says "readd content removed by ip" in the comments field). Green451 21:58, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
