[edit] Page: Ian Paisley

Dear user,

I'm not sure if you've read the content guidelines for the encyclopaedia yet, but it's accepted that posts should be NPOV (that is, neutral point of view), and substantiated. Your section on the Ian Paisley page certainly wasn't that, and that's why i commented it out. When we do pssibly controversial edits like that, we usually discuss them on the article's talk page (ie: talk:Ian_Paisley), and perhaps in future you could check if there is a good argument there for the edit before reverting it.

It's also good practice for a third party to adjudicate on disagreements, so thankfully, another user stepped in and did so (User_talk:Demiurge); they have also seen fit to remove the passage. In future, please try to stick to consensus opinions. I'm no friend of his, and my own opinions would probably include the word Bigot, but that sort of thing is unencyclopaedic.

Otherwise, welcome to Wikipedia, and happy editing! -- (James McNally)  (talkpage)  20:59, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
