Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and write articles, however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 81.4.163.134). Logging in does not require any personal details. There are many other benefits for logging in to Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can type {{helpme}} on this page and an experienced Wikipedian will be around to answer any questions you may have.

Please note these points:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view to edit the article; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do that.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted texts, advertisement messages, and texts that are not related to that article. Both adding such unreasonable information and editing articles maliciously are considered vandalism. A user who repeatedly vandalises articles will be blocked from editing.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, ask me on [[User_talk:{{{1}}}|my Talk page]] – I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia.

[edit] Regarding User:KRBN

Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you. Sango123 (talk) 13:55, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding your edits

Hi, it looks like you're removing the categories from quite a lot of people. Did you discuss this somewhere first? Please let me know before you go on, thanks! --JoanneB 13:21, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Why is this category unnnecessary? Perhaps you should submit it to Categories for deletion before depopulating it. Jude (talk, contribs, email) 13:23, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
You have been blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. The block is for a period of 1 hour. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. JoanneB 13:26, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
The reason I blocked you is because you are editing a lot of pages without explaining your actions. Please show me where you've discussed this, I'll unblock you then. --JoanneB 13:28, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit summaries

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

Jude (talk,contribs,email) 13:36, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

ok

[edit] About your unblock request

Rather than just asking to be unblocked, can't you just explain why you did what you did? --JoanneB 13:45, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Block - persistent vandalism

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text or spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, and repeated and blatant violation of WP:NPOV are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 15:02, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

am i unblock?

[edit] About your block yesterday

I didn't block you yesterday without a warning: I asked you a question on your talk page, asking you specifically to answer it before you went on deleting the category tag from those articles. You did not respond, instead you went on with deleting. Therefore, I blocked you for a short period of time, to get your attention. The longer block was not set by me, you will need to contact that admin if you want to know more about that (User:Mel Etitis). Anyway, someone, or several people, spent a lot of time categorising all those articles. You are undoing that all, without any discussion about it, which is in many cases not a smart or polite thing to do. Please start a discussion about it on the talk page of that category, or on another page where many people editing Cypriotic articles often come. You could also contact the people who added the category to those articles, to ask them why they did so and work together towards a another, better solution. --JoanneB 16:27, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] About Cyprus Basketball Federation

Could you please stop reversing the edits? Read and contribute to the discussion page if you feel differently, as you are just duplicating information. Would you please try and contribute more constructively? StephP 00:18, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
