[edit] Beaten Egg

I'm sorry – I don't understand what you mean by "beaten egg" as a dish. Cooked beaten eggs are usually called scrambled eggs, or an omelette, or any of the variations on omelettes in other languages. Could you explain? Thanks. --Mothperson 20:27, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] re: List of animals that explode

I have deleted the latest version of the article at the title List of animals that explode. I understand your frustration but you need to raise the concerns in the right place. Given what's happened so far, that place is Wikipedia:Votes for undeletion#List of animals that explode. Rossami (talk) 06:06, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Voting

Hi and Welcome to wikipedia. I'm here because I saw you vote on the faeces article. Even though you point out that you are the only person using that IP there is still a good chance that regular users will simply ignore you vote. This is especially true on votes for deletion, where we have a lot of problems with sockpuppets.

Many people don't bother creating an account because they are worried about giving personal info away, but Wikipedia doesn't require any personal info. You don't even need to give an email address if you don't want. Theresa Knott (ask the rotten) 08:04, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Number of Chevrons on the stargate.

Hi, there are 9 Chevrons. See for example,

, more schematic diagrams here, or this still from the show itself

. I hope that clarifies matters. JoshuaZ 01:53, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Mounted stargate. Two of the chevrons are embedded in the platform.

What may have led to your confusion is that while there are nine chevrons, two of them are typically hidden by the platform in which the Stargate is mounted, as in the photo at right. This is mentioned in the article at Stargate (device)#Addresses. Normally only the first seven chevrons are used in "dialing". Eight are required for intergalactic connections. Nine-symbol addresses have never appeared in the show.--Srleffler 23:29, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
