Just so you know - editors who review deletion debates almost always ignore comments by unregistered users, even if they are valid comments. If you want my advice - you should register and re-sign your comment on the Irish-American deletion debate. Mad Jack 07:32, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I am contacting you as you commented in the deletion discussion for these lists. You may not have realised that recently some users have placed conditions for inclusion on these lists that many users find unreasonable. Currently, no common sense is permitted in judging whether a person should be on the list. Even if a person is sourced as having both parents born in X Country, or if they say "my family is X", or "I have X blood" we still can't list them. Many users disagree with Jack'O Lantern and other users who have adopted this position. Regarding the lists, policy only allows common sense; that is, if someone reliable says a person is "African-American", then Wikipedia classes them that way. That would include the individual themselves, or any other reliable source. Jayjg ^(talk) 18:29, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
